Webflow Localization costs $9 per locale per month on Localize Essential (up to 3 secondary locales) and $29 per locale per month on Localize Advanced (up to 10), billed yearly, on top of a paid Site plan. Billed monthly, the same tiers are $12 and $35 per locale. Enterprise is custom. These are Webflow list prices in USD from webflow.com/pricing, checked on 15 Oct 2026; prices change. You can preview a locale for free; you pay when you publish a secondary locale or add more than one.

Last updated 15 October 2026. Prices and tier limits in this guide were checked on Webflow's pricing page and Help Center the same day.

Most teams budget for the add-on and forget the real costs: translation review, layout fixes for longer languages and SEO checks. This guide breaks down the full cost of a multilingual Webflow site in 2026, which tier to pick, and where B2B teams overspend.

How much does Webflow Localization cost per month?

Webflow prices Localize as an add-on, charged per secondary locale (the languages beyond your primary one): its Manage add-ons article says “Localize add-ons are charged per locale”, and that add-ons follow the billing cycle of your Site plan, so a site billed monthly pays the monthly Localize price. Figures below are from Webflow's pricing page, in USD, billed yearly unless stated, checked 15 Oct 2026:

  • Localize Essential, $9 per locale per month: up to 3 locales, 10,000 AI-translated words per locale per month, CMS and static page localization, localized SEO titles and descriptions, style localization.
  • Localize Advanced, $29 per locale per month: up to 10 locales, 50,000 translated words per locale per month, plus asset localization (different images per language), localized URL slugs and automatic visitor routing.
  • Localize Enterprise, custom pricing: a custom number of locales, a custom translation glossary, element visibility per locale and draft locale-specific pages.
  • Team platform plan: bundles Webflow Localize, with 2 locales included according to Webflow's plan comparison; extra locales are a separate fee.

What does that look like for real locale counts?

Secondary locales Essential, billed yearly Advanced, billed yearly Essential, billed monthly Advanced, billed monthly
1 $9 a month ($108 a year) $29 a month ($348 a year) $12 a month $35 a month
2 $18 a month ($216 a year) $58 a month ($696 a year) $24 a month $70 a month
3 $27 a month ($324 a year) $87 a month ($1,044 a year) $36 a month $105 a month
5 Not available: Essential allows up to 3 $145 a month ($1,740 a year) Not available $175 a month
10 Not available $290 a month ($3,480 a year) Not available $350 a month

Each figure is the per-locale list price multiplied by the number of secondary locales. Your primary language is not counted.

These numbers are the add-on only. Localize needs a paid Basic or Premium Site plan underneath it: Webflow's Manage add-ons article says site add-ons are not available on Starter or Ecommerce Site plans. The next section adds the Site plan to give a full monthly total. Our Webflow website cost guide covers the rest of the platform bill and the build.

What does a multilingual site cost in total?

Add the Site plan to the Localize add-on. Basic suits a site with no CMS; if your blog, case studies or any other CMS content needs translating, you need Premium. Webflow list prices, checked 15 Oct 2026:

Site plan + Localize Billed yearly, per month Billed yearly, per year Billed monthly, per month
Basic + Essential, 2 locales $33 $396 $49
Basic + Essential, 3 locales $42 $504 $61
Premium + Essential, 2 locales $43 $516 $63
Premium + Essential, 3 locales $52 $624 $75
Basic + Advanced, 2 locales $73 $876 $95
Basic + Advanced, 3 locales $102 $1,224 $130
Premium + Advanced, 2 locales $83 $996 $109
Premium + Advanced, 3 locales $112 $1,344 $144

The Site plan prices behind these totals are Basic at $15 a month billed yearly or $25 billed monthly, and Premium at $25 or $39. Seats for your editors are billed separately at Workspace level. Webflow's Team plan, at $2,500 a month on an annual contract, includes Localize with 2 locales in its bundle, which only matters if you need Team for other reasons.

Is Webflow Localization free to try?

Yes, within limits. Without the add-on you can set up your primary locale and one secondary locale and preview it in the Designer: Webflow's Manage your site's locales article says publishing to a secondary locale, or adding more than one, requires a Localize add-on. A site without the add-on also gets a one-time preview allowance of AI-translated words, which does not reset (AI translation usage). Use the preview to check how your layouts handle longer text and to count the words you will need to translate before you commit.

Which Localize tier should a B2B site choose?

Pick the tier by features, not by locale count alone. Essential covers most B2B sites that need two or three languages with the same layout and images. Move to Advanced when any of these are true:

  • You need translated URL slugs (for example /de/preise instead of /de/pricing) for local search intent.
  • You need different images per language, such as screenshots of a localised product UI or region-specific customer photos.
  • You need automatic routing that sends visitors to their browser language.
  • You publish a lot of CMS content and the 10,000-word monthly translation allowance per locale will not last.

Webflow notes that once the monthly AI translation allowance runs out, you can opt in to Webflow AI credits to continue. Ecommerce plans are the exception: Webflow states that Localize does not support ecommerce site plan features, so products and categories cannot be localised when both are enabled.

Essential, Advanced or Enterprise: what is the difference?

From the Localize comparison table on Webflow's pricing page, checked 15 Oct 2026:

Essential Advanced Enterprise
Secondary locales Up to 3 Up to 10 Custom
AI translation allowance 10,000 words per locale per month 50,000 words per locale per month Custom
CMS, static content, style and alt-text localization; localized SEO titles and descriptions Yes Yes Yes
Different images per locale (asset localization) No Yes Yes
Localized URL slugs No Yes Yes
Automatic visitor routing by browser language No Yes Yes
Element visibility per locale, custom translation glossary, draft locale-specific static pages No No Yes
List price $9 per locale a month, billed yearly $29 per locale a month, billed yearly Quoted by Webflow

Two details matter for budgeting. The word allowance is pooled: Webflow's AI translation usage article says each locale you buy adds to one site-wide monthly allowance, and words reused from translation memory don't count against it. And routing is tier-bound: the Webflow Localize overview says automatic routing to a visitor's preferred locale, based on their browser language, comes with Enterprise and Advanced Localize plans.

Essential is the small board with three sockets; Advanced adds sockets and the routing arm that sends visitors to their language.

What does a multilingual Webflow site cost beyond the add-on?

The subscription is usually the smallest line. Plan for four other costs:

  • Translation and review: AI translation is a good first draft, but pricing pages, legal text and product claims need a native reviewer. Budget per word or per page with your translator.
  • Layout fixes: German and French often run longer than English, so buttons, navigation and cards need checking in every locale.
  • SEO set-up: each locale needs unique titles and descriptions, correct hreflang tags and sitemap entries. Webflow generates a localised sitemap with hreflang, but you still have to check it. Our technical SEO launch checklist shows what to verify.
  • Ongoing publishing: every new blog post or page now needs translating. This is where a maintenance retainer pays off.

Webflow Localization or Weglot: which is cheaper?

Webflow Localization is cheaper to run when your whole site lives in Webflow, because translations, layouts and CMS items stay in one project and the cost is a flat per-locale add-on. Weglot is a separate subscription and translates content after it is published. It makes sense when your translators already work in it, or when one translation memory has to serve several platforms. Compare the two on your exact locale count and word volume before choosing.

Does Webflow Localization help SEO?

It gives you the building blocks. Webflow serves each locale from a subdirectory such as /fr/ or /de/, lets you translate meta titles and descriptions per locale, and generates a sitemap that includes hreflang tags so search engines understand how your language versions relate (Localized SEO and locale routing). Advanced and Enterprise add localised URL slugs. Rankings still depend on the content: a machine-translated page that nobody reviewed rarely beats a local competitor, so translate the pages that carry pipeline first (pricing, product, case studies) and expand from there.

What mistakes make localization cost more than planned?

  • Translating everything on day one. Start with the pages that drive demos (pricing, product, case studies), then add the blog once the first locale performs.
  • Buying Advanced for one language. If you only need translated copy, Essential at $9 per locale a month (billed yearly) is enough. You can upgrade the add-on later from Site settings.
  • Ignoring exclusion rules. Product names, code snippets and IDs should stay in the source language, so set exclusion rules before running AI translation and avoid burning your word allowance.
  • Forgetting forms and CRM routing. A French lead that lands in an English-only inbox is a lost lead. Test every form in every locale.
  • Skipping the post-launch check. Confirm each locale in Google Search Console and re-check hreflang on the live domain, not just on staging.

How does ActiveSet do it?

ActiveSet is a Webflow Premium Partner based in Bengaluru, India. Every Webflow localization project starts with a content audit of pages, CMS collections, forms and scripts, then a locale plan that fixes the languages, URL pattern, translation route and approver for each one.

HeartFocus is one example. We built and launched heartfocus.ai on Webflow with English and French localization, CMS and forms, moved the project into the client's own Workspace with an editor guide, and have delivered updates since: see the HeartFocus case study. We have also delivered Webflow localization for other clients, including register pages in five languages. Before any locale goes live, we run checks like those in our localization QA checklist.

If you are moving platforms at the same time, we combine localization with a website migration so redirects and hreflang are planned together, and we back it with ongoing SEO checks in each locale.

Disclosure: ActiveSet is a Webflow Premium Partner and earns a commission from Webflow on Webflow plans. The prices in this post are Webflow's own list prices.

What is the quickest way to estimate your cost?

  1. List the languages you need and count them. Three or fewer with shared images usually means Essential.
  2. Count the words on the pages and CMS items you will translate, and compare them with the pooled monthly allowance for your tier: 10,000 words for each Essential locale or 50,000 for each Advanced locale. Words reused from translation memory don't count.
  3. Decide who reviews each language and what they charge.
  4. Add your Site plan, and a maintenance budget for new content.

Frequently Asked Questions

(01)
How much does Webflow Localization cost?

Localize Essential is $9 per locale a month and Localize Advanced $29 per locale a month on yearly billing, or $12 and $35 billed monthly, on top of a paid Basic or Premium Site plan. Essential allows up to 3 secondary locales and Advanced up to 10. Enterprise pricing is custom. These are Webflow list prices in USD, checked 15 Oct 2026; prices change.

(02)
Is Webflow Localization free?

Only for a trial. Without the add-on you can set up a primary locale and one secondary locale to preview in the Designer, and Webflow gives a one-time allowance of AI-translated words that does not reset. Publishing a secondary locale, or adding more than one, needs a Localize add-on, which Webflow charges per locale.

(03)
Is Webflow Localization good for SEO?

It supports SEO with locale subdirectories, translated meta titles and descriptions, and a sitemap with hreflang tags. Advanced adds localised URL slugs. Rankings still depend on translation quality and content.

(04)
Should I use Webflow Localization or Weglot?

If your site lives fully on Webflow, native Localization keeps translations, layouts and CMS items in one project. Weglot suits teams whose translators already use it or who need one translation set across several platforms.

(05)
Can I localise a Webflow ecommerce store?

Not fully. Webflow states that Localize does not support Ecommerce site plan features, so products, categories and related pages cannot be localised when both are enabled.
