Overview

Different builds an AI marketing system for lean B2B teams. It hired ActiveSet in September 2026 to build its new website in Webflow for a fixed launch on 20 October. Three weeks before launch, the brand changed. The site still went live on launch day.

The challenge

01

A new brand, 21 days out

On 29 September Different's new head of marketing changed the brand and brought in a new creative agency. By then the Home, Product, Company, Blog and Demo layouts were already built on staging.

02

Final designs, 4 days out

The new-brand designs for nine pages were marked final on 16 October, and the new fonts arrived that evening.

03

A launch date that could not move

The site had a public launch on 20 October, and the existing launch-event link at different.ai/launch had to keep working.

Utkarsh recently joined us to lead Marketing, and since he came on board we've made some exciting changes to our brand and messaging, including the plan for website.

How we did it

In the first week we set up the Webflow style guide, typography and global variables, so font and colour changes could be applied across the site from one place.

We then built page by page as the designers marked sections ready for development. By 19 September the Home, Product, Company, Blog and Demo layouts were on staging.

When the new brand arrived, the structure stayed the same, so the new fonts, colours and sections went onto pages that were already built. On 20 October we moved the site into Different's own Webflow account, Different moved its hosting plan across, and we published www.different.ai.

8 Sep

Kickoff

Style guide, typography and global variables first.

19 Sep

Five layouts on staging

Home, Product, Company, Blog and Demo.

29 Sep

New brand, new agency

Same pages, same launch date.

16 Oct

Designs final

Nine frames; new fonts that evening.

20 Oct

Live on different.ai

Published on launch day.

21 Oct

Speed pass

Faster pages on phones.

What we built

The full site in Webflow, ready for the new brand, plus the launch-week work that kept forms, consent and search in order.

01

Pages

Home, Product, Use cases, Company, Careers, Blog with a blog post template, Demo, Contact, Privacy, Terms of Service and a 404 page.

02

Launch

Moved the site into Different's own Webflow account on launch day. Different moved its hosting plan across, and the different.ai/launch redirect kept working.

03

Consent

Cookie banner with Google Consent Mode (Advanced). EU, UK, Swiss and Brazilian visitors get category opt-in; US visitors get a “Do not sell or share” opt-out.

04

Forms

HubSpot demo and contact forms, plus a matching backup form that appears when a privacy setting or blocker stops HubSpot or reCAPTCHA loading.

05

Video and motion

Videos on Bunny with a floating player that keeps playing on the next page, smoother Product tabs and a slide-in mobile menu.

06

Search basics

Sitemap, canonical tags, JPG share images, one site-wide Organization schema, FAQ schema on Home, Product and Demo, and blog dates from the CMS.

Results

Live on launch day: 42 days after kickoff, and 4 days after the new-brand designs were final. A speed pass on 21 October then raised mobile Google PageSpeed scores across the main pages. Speed work continues on the Demo and Contact pages, which carry the HubSpot forms.

About this case study

This page describes ActiveSet's Webflow development for Different. The brand and page designs are the work of Different's design agencies. Dates come from our project records: the shared Slack channels and call notes. PageSpeed and Lighthouse scores are ActiveSet's own measurements on the dates given, and the screens were captured from the live site on 22 October 2026. This page includes no traffic, conversion or revenue figures. The quote is copied exactly from a client message.
