Ahrefs pricing page
Ahrefs' pricing page scores 5/10: three plans with prices and audiences in the first screen, but no customer proof, a slow lab load and three accessibility misses.
- Message clarity 2/2: prices, the monthly unit, the annual toggle and a one-line audience per plan are all in the first screen in plain words.
- Proof 1/2: no customer names, logos or attributed results; only generic claims ("trusted by Fortune 500 teams") and a banner quote about Letaido rather than a customer.
- Path to contact 2/2: "Get started" on each plan, "Talk to sales" for Enterprise, and a free tier ("Ahrefs Free") lower on the page.
- Speed 0/2: lab LCP 5.6 s and lab CLS 0.147 on throttled mobile both miss the targets (lab data, not field).
- Accessibility basics 0/2: three failures: 2 images without alt text, 2 heading-level skips and 15 empty links.
What the page does well
The core is readable at a glance: a "Pay annually, save up to 17%" toggle, then Lite, Standard and Advanced at $129, $249 and $449 a month, each with a one-line audience such as "Perfect for freelance SEOs and marketing consultants" and an orange "Get started". Per-user pricing is explicit ("1 user included", "Add 2 more users at $40/mo each") and the long comparison table answers limit questions. The page then stacks Enterprise, Starter, Ahrefs Free, Brand Radar packages and four add-ons, so a buyer unsure which tool they need can lose the thread. Proof is thin: the only quote is a banner about Letaido rather than a customer, and "trusted by Fortune 500 teams" comes with no customer names shown on the page.
