Cursor pricing page

Cursor's pricing page scores 6/10: every main-plan price and button is on the first screen, held back by abstract usage tiers, no customer proof and a 3.4s lab LCP.

How we score
  • Message clarity 1/2: Price, "/month" and a button for every plan are visible without scrolling, but which plan fits is described only as "Limited", "Shared", "4x" and "15x" usage, and the cards list items such as "Grok Chat" and "Less timeline ads" alongside Cursor ones. Third-party model usage is billed separately, per the footnote.
  • Proof 1/2: No named customers, quotes or review scores on the page. The only trust signal is the footer text "SOC 2 | ISO27001 | ISO42001 | AIUC-1 Certified", a certifications line in the footer, far from the plan cards.
  • Path to contact 2/2: One button per plan ("Get started", "Get Plus", "Get Premium", "Get Super"), repeated in the compare table with "Get Ultra", "Get Teams" and "Contact Sales"; a free tier is the low-commitment option, and the page ends with "Download" and "Contact Sales".
  • Speed 1/2: Lab LCP 3,400 ms fails the 2,500 ms target; lab CLS 0 passes. One of two fails (throttled mobile lab run, not field data).
  • Accessibility basics 1/2: One failure: 1 heading-level skip. Images have alt text, inputs are labelled, no empty links, one h1, lang="en-US".

What the page does well

Cursor puts the decision on the first screen: an "Individual / Teams" toggle and four cards, "Free $0 /month", "Plus $8 /month", "Premium $30 /month" marked "Most popular", and "Super $100 /month", each with a button. Tiers are separated by usage multiples ("4x more usage compared to Plus", "15x"), tidy but abstract: a buyer cannot tell how many agent requests that buys. The lists mix Cursor items with "Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine, and Build" and "Less timeline ads", so the bundle needs explaining. The small print: "Third Party model usage in Cursor is not included in the monthly prices shown". No customer names, quotes or reviews appear, only a footer line, "SOC 2 | ISO27001 | ISO42001 | AIUC-1 Certified".

What to copy:

Put every plan's price, period and button in the first screen, and mark one "Most popular" so the default choice is obvious.

What we would fix:

Translate "4x" and "15x" into concrete monthly usage, and add one named customer or review near the cards.
