Supabase pricing page
Supabase's pricing page scores 7/10: clear plan cards with overage rates and a spend cap, held back by thin proof, a 5.2 s lab LCP and two accessibility misses.
- Message clarity 2/2: The first screen shows $0, "From $25 / month", "From $599 / month" and "Custom", each with a one-line fit ("For production applications with the power to scale") and the per-project unit ("Additional projects from $10/mo.").
- Proof 1/2: No named customers, quotes or reviews on the page; the only signals are the GitHub star count ("114.2K") in the nav and "SOC2 Type 2", "HIPAA" and "ISO 27001" badges above the footer.
- Path to contact 2/2: One button per card ("Start for Free", "Get Started", "Get Started", "Contact us"), a free tier as the low-commitment option, and "Start your project" / "Request a demo" repeated at the end.
- Speed 1/2: Lab LCP 5,180 ms on throttled mobile fails the 2,500 ms target; lab CLS 0 passes (lab data, not field).
- Accessibility basics 1/2: Two failures: one heading-level skip and two empty links. Images have alt text, the one input is labelled, there is a single h1 and lang is set.
What the page does well
Supabase puts four plans side by side on the first screen: "FREE" at $0, "PRO" tagged "Most Popular" from $25 a month, "TEAM" from $599 and "ENTERPRISE" at "Custom". Each card says who it is for in one line and prints the overage rate under each limit ("then $0.00325 per MAU"). The pattern is a flat plan fee plus metered usage, and the page adds safeguards: a "Spend Cap On" toggle on Pro, a compute calculator ("see your total cost") and FAQs like "Can I cap my usage so my bill doesn't run over?". A buyer could stall in the very long comparison table, and no named customers appear in the capture.
